Places to visit

The market towns of Shepton Mallet,  Frome and Castle Cary are close, with the Royal Bath & West Show Ground (1) just 10 minutes away. Longleat House & Safari Park (2) is just a short drive as well as Stourhead House & Gardens (3).

20 minutes in the other direction will take you to Wells (4), the smallest Cathedral city in England, with Wookey Hole and Cheddar Caves nearby.

The ancient Abbey town of Glastonbury, famed for the legends of King Arthur, the Chalice Well, the Tor and Abbey are all worth a visit, with the Clarks Village shopping outlet at conveniently close by at Street.

Bath, famous for some of the finest architectural sights such as the Roman Baths & Pump Room, the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and the Circus, is only 25 miles away, as is Bristol with its new shopping centre and many attractions including the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the SS Great Britain and the state-of-the-art @Bristol centre.

Salisbury is similarly close with its famous Cathedral, arts venues, Old Sarum castle and the Wilton Shopping Village.

The south coast towns of Weymouth, Bridport and Poole can all be reached in about an hour.
